Hence, the need to know how to locate books on the shelves. The library shelves have been classified according to subjects or courses starting from the 'Reference shelve' to 'Information Resources shelve'.
Using the Library of Congress (LC) classification scheme, one would have to locate a book using the class numbers on the spine of each book, after searching the library OPAC and finding the displayed class of books on the shelf category.
